Mickey Ryland rode home second while Randy Giesy cam e in th ird ahead of James Suggs and Jim Lewis. The 125 Am ateur event was a Chris Serres/Barry Myers duel with Chris seein g the flag first for the victory. American Suzuki 's Mike Morgan dominated the 250 Amateur Division with a first pla ce ride in both motos. Sonny Powell watched his rear knobby all the way and came ho me a strong second while Tim Myers rounded out th e top three just ahead of Bob Vatter. In the 250 No vice class, Do nnie Stevens go t all th e glory with his perfect rid e in each h eat. Danny Moore go t th ere sec o nd after a hard fought ride against Gary Minton and his Ossa.
