IlWindale MX 200 Dorresteyn loses last battle Services were held March 29 for "Mr. IT, Double D ," Dick Dorresteyn, who suffered a fatal heart attack March 25. Four years ago Dick received a pacemaker which kept him going until six months ago when he became totally disabled. Dick had two National IT events to his credit, Peoria, Ill. 1958 and Ascot Park 1962. These wins gave him a berth in the top ten Grand National point standings in 1958 and 1959. Dick retired in the mid sixties, his last appearance in professional racing was on the half-m ile at San Jose. In the early sixties, Dick was referred to as the best Tf rider in modern day racing.
