On January 7, 1976, Attorney Don ald W. Jordan of the law firm of Garz a , Kassel and Jordan, filed a lawsuit in the Superior Court of San Bernardino County . The suit seeks to void section 28.045 of th e San Bernardino Code, th e so-called "written permission" o rd inance. The ordinance, enacted o n July 15 , 19 73, has not been widely enforced by t he co un ty , acco rding to J im Wells, Chairman o f the 0-37 Board o f Directors, but is now being cited by the BLM. Finally motorcyclists are banding together in a potent force. If the BLM knows we will sue them , they will step a little more lightly in their dealings with u s. D RA races will also contribute, but details aren't se t. U EA Ride On Enduro On February 8 the UEA's Ride On Enduro will be a Legal Defense Fund Benefit. Profits wi ll be donated to the ' fund. UEA has been working fo r several months on this, and hope all family and Dis trict 37 enduro riders will tum out fo r a fun ride and a show of fo rce to let t he environmen talists know we don 't plan on rolling over and letting them run us o ut of the dese rt. UEA has rounded up over 52 ,000 worth of p rizes to be given away by drawing (so everyone has a chance at winning so mething). More prizes are being donated by local (and n at ional ) dealers, distributors and manufacturers. The enduro will feature three easy loops so there will be something for everyone. All ' riders ride the first loop with an interesting angle: A and B riders will not lose points for being late . This enables parents to ride along with their wives and kids. It's not boring though; there's enough windy twisty stuff to keep the riders interested. AMA is sending a couple of films to show on Saturday night. Maybe t he old favorite " On Any Sunday" can be rounded up also. The Honda Enduro team will be o n hand to teach a free enduro school on Saturday at two p.m, Following the enduro school will be a trials demo nstration by Debbie Evans an d Bob Nickelsen, Ho nda 's Tria ls Te am Coordinator. .I 've seen what Bo b is going to do and it will b lo w yo ur min d .
