A total o f six ch ecks were in the run wi th a gO-min ute lunch period in between. Bill Crump laid out the course and served as referee. There wasn 't any road in the run. It was all woods, h ills, dried-up creeks, a little water, jeep and fire trails, etc. Kenny Waldon of Hannibal had some tough luck on the first loop as he crash ed and broke his leg. Sixteen-year enduro ve ter an Carl Green of Kansas City won the overall with a minus two scoore, His mount wasn' t his normal Husky, though. A young neighbor of Carl 's wanted a set of used knobbies Carl had in the back of h is gar age so Carl told him he 'd even mount them on his bike (185 Suzuki) if he could ride it in this run.
