and Bar b ie off the th ird. Barb ie stayed
Iowan t he banki ng and got bottled u p
in early traffic while Hogan moved t o
second within two laps, then ro lle d to a
stop at the e nd of the pi t hot lane with
d ead moto rcy cle. Barbie , meanwhile,
had finally uncorked himself fro m
traffic and took out after Hay ner in
ea rnest. This turned into one of the best
races of the day as Barbie would set

around Roge r Swim (H. D) and Bill
