the lead in the rirst moto while in the second moto Bob got the "Rocket" go ing up Tower Hill. From there Hannah slowly pulled away and ended the race with a nice lead. Hannah's two firsts earned him top money while Rex had to settle for second. Jeff Foland (KTM) picked off third with a consistent th ree-four tally. Is " Hurricane Hannah" unstoppable? After racking up a clean sweep earlier, Hannah went on to a repeat performance in the 250 Pro race as well. During the first moto , Bruce McDougal (Ya m) pulled the holeshot, and soon fou nd himself having to hold back Hannah . McDougal and Hannah really pu t on a show for the race fans un til Ha nnah flew by to take over first place. Bru ce hung on for second while Gary Ogd en squeezed past Bill Rubly for th ird . In the opening laps of the second mo to Han nah was up front as u su al. Bru ce Baro n, who h ad his Yamaha right up th ere with the leaders, overshot a wide sweeper bu t sti ll kept the gas cracked open wh ile try ing to re-en ter th e trac k, only to get tan gled up in the tr ack banners. McDougal ran seco nd while Morris Malone was right on McDo ugal's tail. Hannah gassed his way to another win while Malone edged by McDougal for second in the closing laps. McDo ugal's third co mbined with his first moto performance, was good fo r second-place money. J u st as Hannah has been ru nn ing away from the bigger bikes, Warren Reid has been smokin' the 125 Pros. McDo ugal (fifth in the firs t moto ) held on to third. Alan Smit h , back a few spots, began to make his drive toward the fro n t ru nners but both his shocks snapped coming do wn Ban zai Hill. Bell and Reid soon put some time between them and the pack, p utti ng on a race an d a half for top money. Bell held off Reid while McDougal an d Franks' ace, Danny LaPorte battle d for third. Reid flew over an d p ast Bell for t he lea d on Ban zai Hill, b ut Bell kep t up wi th Reid anyway. LaPort e, who seize d in th e first mo ta , whipped past McD ou gal for third. With t he race nearing an end, Rei d and Bell were out in fro nt of the res t of the pack. Brae Gl over, on a DG jet, really put on a dri ve on the last lap to drop McDougal to fifth. J ac k went to o high on the first tum and Minor took advantage o f the open doo r and slipped in to first. Chri s Can n on was working hard for second but the door stayed clo sed.
