On e of the be tter races of the night was the secon d moto of 12 5 J un ior Division 11 with TIm Baughman (Ho n) an d Rick Eustler (Yam) at each other the entire race. Baughman had the early lead but Eustler relieved him o f duty on lap two and took the po in t. First moto winner Bau ghman had a good shot at the lead in the fin al tum of lap th ree when Eustler went high but h e couldn 't quite get by Eu stle rs ye llow screamer. Baughman tri ed to ge t by again on l~ four in the straight bu t let off th e throttle to avoid a handlebar argument wi th Eustler who was in ch es away . Eustler h ad th e win com ing ou t of th e final tum of the last lap when his chain jumped of f and Baughman flew by . Eustler rolled by for a disgusted second and you could alm ost h ear the cro wd say, "Wh at a b umm er" in between th e ooh's and aah's, Other moto briefs were John(Action ) Jackson (Yam) sweeping the 250Juniors Divisio n 11 whil e Carl Casan ova (Yam) did like wise to th e Old TIme rs. Andy Mon tijo (Hon) too k th e first pl ace iron • of th e 100 In termediates. Magoo, they saw Billy go down hard in one of the turns. He had hit a boulder in the track, th rowing his front wheel sideways, pitching him off the bike . Billy suffered a b adly bro ken leg in th e acci dent wh ich will put him out of action for about four months. Thi s is really h eartbreaking, since h e was ridi ng his ra ce to practice for the upc om ing Trans·AMA series and will now be unable to com pe te. While Billy was being attended to by th e tra ck do ctor, Magoo was showing th e crowd some exceptional ri din g.
