One bright sp ot fo r the Cougars th ou gh wa s the return of Co lorado 's very own "Flying" Finley Wallace from a six -week tour of California. Wallace rode to a fine 15 point maximum and it is hoped his speedway st rength and knowledge will give the Cougar team the inspiration to win races. Cowell, at 12 points, was high scorer for the Sharks. The Champion of the Evening Final stacked up three Californians against one Colorado rider. Colorado's Gary Densford got a fine gate and led in to lap two when second place Robin Hood lost it into the front straight wal l. The race was stopped in th e in terest of safety while Hood was attended to. After a q uick straightening-out job on his bike and a little time to recuperate, Hood returned to blow everyone off.
