According to a survey by the leading cycle magazine , dirt and racebike sales outstripped road models for the first time in 1974. Racing and dual-purpose (enduro) motorcydes took 55% of the market , wh ile pure roadsters made on ly 45% of new-bike sales. Cycle News predicted th is would happen ten years ago. Now BIKER magazine is predicting it will swin g the other way.
