Carlos Contreras (Yam) to ok the lead at the st art of the second Intermediate 250 moto and was never he aded. Gary Ogdon (Ya m) and Gar y Standrige (~Ion) dueled it out in the final 500 Pro race, ex changing places repeatedly , with Ogdon finally taking the lead and the overall win for the 500 Pros. • Results in Resu lt s Section. Afte r a mo nth of b ike p ro b lems, J cff Foland fina lly go t back to his r winning ways by tak ing the 5 00 Pro class by storm today. Craig Adams (Jl us) gave the Pent on ride r a little bi t of troubl e at th e st ar t of th e first moto , but J eff so o n p ull ed away leaving Adam s second an d Frank Steiner (:' Iai) in th ird. Ada ms pulled th e h ole sh ot in the sec ond moto , but Fol an d p assed h im by the first tour. Adam s agai n took second, while J im Masser took thi rd , and also third over all . Bob St em cle an ed house in the 12 5 Pro clas s on hi s quick 125 :'Ionoshock Yamaha. J ohn Smith of th e CRT di d n't give him t oo much t ro uble, sin ce J ohn 's Honda fro n t wheel lost some of its spo kes. Kevin Crawford (Ha n) put together two th ird place finishes for second, while a sixth and a second for Smith gave him thi rd o vera ll. Stem and Bru ce Baron (Yam ) dic ed it out in th e first mota of the 250 Pros , the lead switc hing back and forth . Morris Malon e (lIIai) o f Competit ion Cycl es moved up from a bad st art an d ca ugh t up to th ird sp o t. Bru ce Bar on edged o ut Stem for th e top spot in th at moto. Baron go t underway in fro n t d ur in g the first lap of the second mota, but a rear n a t tire forced him back t o ninth place. Malon e worked his way to second and seco nd o verall.
