Lunde challenged Jennings in moto t wo , but was no t successfu l in passin g. J ennings had won motas one and two. but in mota three he came up with a dead engine which enabled Chuck Lunde to scoot in with the win. The ove rall victory went to Jeff Bunn with c o n s i s t e n t finishes of Fou r-three-two, Ed Clark gathered second overall with a discouraged Chuck Lunde placing third. The 250 Pro competition was no contest at all. Jeff Jennings (Bul) won all three motos going away with Val Tamietti placing second . three consecutive times. Dave Pessy (Man) \ made his racing co mebac k with a third finish in mota one. but crashed off the start in mota two action. Cal Uyeda (Kaw) was third overall in the standings , Bill Rubly (Mai) was handed yet another 500 Pro win, Chris Allen (CZ) led mota two for three laps until Rubly shot by going through the whoop er s, Rubly wo n all three mo tos with mota three becoming a gift with no other 500 Pros racing. • Results in Results Section. The night sta rted out with so me fast mini act ion with Byron Antonacci (Yam) getting into some quick riding winning both th e modified and stock classes. The co mbined 125 Intermediate and Pro classes go t underway with Ken Fro st (Suz ) tak ing an early lead while Ken T urn er (C-A) had to work his way up from the ba ck of the pack to second pla ce by th e fourth lap, Frost and Turner diced it out till , the end of the first mota with Frost just barely beating out Turn er. Th e 25 0 Pro s took off with Mike St earns in th e lead and pulling awa y , Ron Turner . the Can -Am ace . made his way through the p ack to ca tc h up with Ste arns and give him a good race alt ho ug h St earns took the win. In 500 Pro action . Ken Frost did a spectacu lar endo off o f th e big j u mp and decided to call it quits . leaving Gary Ogd en to take th e win.
