Gary Scott captures
commanding lead in race
for No.1 plate.'
It was the fourth stra ight nat iona l win this season for
Harley-Davidson; it was also the 19th Harley-Davidson
win in 23 years at the Columbus, Ohio track.
Gary Scott took first and now leads
runner-up Kenny Roberts by 170 points
in the race for the Number 1 plate. At Harley-Davidson
when we say number 1, we mean number 1.
Right behind at Columbus were veteran Corky Keener
and one of the hottest tiders of the year,
Jay Springsteen.
Then , in order, Rex Beauchamp, Greg Sassaman ,
Chuck Palmgren and Jina Zeigler made it a HarleyDavidson sweep of all of the first seven places.
The same engi neering and design talents that go into
our rac ing bikes go into every Harley-Davidson you
buy. And , like Gary Scott, you won 't be eating
anybody else 's dust either.
