By Sneaky Pete SACRAM ENT O , CAL., J UNE 6 With Alan Ch ristian sideli ned by the flu and Rich MacMurray missing a starting spot in eit her Main for the first time this season, it was another pair of Ren o riders taking the spo tligh t, One of the quickest starters in Northern Califo rnia Speedway, j o hn Cu n n in gh am , was fir st o u t o f the gate whe n the ta pes went up and opened up a four len gth lead by the en d of lap one to wi n his first Scratch Main of 1975 . One time win ner of this eve nt this year and the nu mber two rider in S.R .A (no rth) points last year, Nurman Denny fin ished second, followed by Barclay Trehal and Paul Orlandi. With Steve Moore on the zero and Matt jackson and Ra ndy Davis o n the 10 , anyone of this trio of Divisio n Two graduates could very well take it all in tonight 's Handicap Main. Second year rider George Carter had plans of his own and moved up quickly fro m his 30 yard starting spot to take the lead on the third lap and then it was Barclay Trehal taking the lead and the win when Carter and his ma chine parted a half lap from the white flag. Six weeks and six d ifferent wi nners in Divis ion Two. j ere Wolfe m ad e his first ride: in the Division Two ranks a winning one ahead of Dave Cooper and Bob Bellino. Spence r SAN J OSE, CAL,jUNE 5 Norm Denny ne arly stormed away with both mains easily winning the Scratch by at least two feet over Rich MacMurray and nearly catc h in g Dennis Robinson at the ch ec kered in the Handiap. Stormin ' Norman is the only real threat to MacMurray at this, the longest track in the co u n try.
