Trials Championship Dylan Neihart on h is way to a win in the 250 Am ateur class. to Rubly in mota two, Tamietti just could n ot get by. The Maico Men, Bill Rub ly and Luke Messer, dominated the 500 Pro class with three wild motos. Messer wo uld win the first half of the mo to s and Rubly win the last half. Novice no longer By Elaine Jones CO R.'J~~ A, CAL ., JUNE II • I Two 125 cc Novices get cre dit this week for putting on one of the best races of the evening. Terry McCree ry riding ou t of C H II Motorcycles of Riverside and David Jenkins spo nsored by Dad, who is Jenkins Hot Shoes, showed the st uff that Amateurs are made of as they took it down to the wire in the half- mile go. David got off on top with Terry in hot pursuit. Jenkins started building a lead that looked as if it would hold bu t on lap fou r McCreery took a chance and it paid off and the lead was his and with it the win . Eddie Drake was in for the third. Eddie fared better on the TT which is more to his liking as it was again David Jenkins who had the bridesmaid honors. John Allison had the fans on their feet with some trick riding in the Open Expert TT. In the Semi John had bike problems and got off in last . But by lap four he was ru n ning first . The half-mile 750cc Expert class looked like it was shaping up to be quite a d uel between J ohn and Scott Smith, Scott had wo n the Semi, bu t when it was time for th e Main Sco tt was still in the pits. Denny Aguirre tried to hold up his end but he o nly had a 350cc. He did man age to ge t by once bu t the lead was short lived as John to o k over once again for the win. Mike the Machine Tidwell rode four classes plus o ne for fun and went home with th ree firsts and one th ird . lIe wo n the 125cc and 250cc Amateur/Expert TT and th e 250 cc Expert half-mile, with his biggest challenge co ming fro m Gordie Kidd on the half-mile go . Mike 's on ly defeat came in the Open z o l- e: :J III .J w :J Z
