When we picked the bike up a t
American Ho nda. they sen t along a 51
tooth rear sp ro cket. They are qu ite
aware of the gearing problem, an d feel
going to a bigger sp roc ket will sa tisfy
the great m ajo ri ty of ride rs who
purchase the bike. After the first o uting
to co nfirm the gear ra tio sh ortco mi ngs ,
we tried the 51 tooth sp ro ck e t. an d it
m ad e a big diff eren ce. While the top
speed of th e bike was cu t down
co nsi de rably, the bike was mu ch easier
to rid e. and though you sti ll had to
wring it ou t th e shifts cou ld be m ad e
without bogging.
In all the tim e we h ad th e bike, it
never fou led a p lu g, alw ays started
easil y , nev er loaded up and required '
little more maintenance than tightening
the spokes and clean ing th e air cleaner .
The Kehin car b did its job in an orderly,
if mild manner. While th e engine revs
qui te readily, a bigger carb would be in
order for those try in g to extract that
extra horsepower . We feel th e engine
