HONDA TRIALS TEAM WINS A WEEKEND
IN BIG ·BEAR.
Even by Big Bear standards it was an
uncommon weekend.
The Big Bear 2-Day Trials, Saturday and
Sunday, May 17th and 18th. Sixteen sections .
Three times on Saturday. Two times on Sunday.
The Honda Trials Team was there.
Riding a factory-prepared Honda trials
bike , Marland Whaley topped a-field of 125,
including a class of 30 experts.
Joe Guglielrnelli, on a Honda TL-250,
finished third (even with one tire flat).
And on another factory-prepared Honda
trials bike, Mark Eggar finished fourth .
The weather was beautiful. And at the
7,OOO-ft. elevation, Team Honda's trials machines
performed as beautifully as they do at
sealevel.
In fact, all that the Saturday night maintenance involved was lubing the chain and
clea ning the air filter
.
