Mik e Tidwell, the 14-year-old ace
riding o ut of Montclair has to be
pa rt mach in e to pull off wh at he
did Wednesday night. Mik e en-
tered five events, won fo ur and placed
sec o n d in the fifth . Mike 's o nly defea t
came at th e hands of Mik e Minnig in the
l 25cc Expert hal f-mile . These tw o lo ng
t ime rivals are so me th ing else to watch
an d they did n't dis appoint an yone.
Mike TIdwell go t off on top and it was
well in t o th e race before Minning was
able to ge t by him . When he did t hat
was all that was ne eded. The 12Scc
Expert short tr ack was a breeze for
Mike b ut on th e short tr ac k 25 0cc
Exp ert, it was alpin Mike Minnig that
applied the p ressure but Ti d we ll figured
o nce a night was eno ugh an d held him
to seco nd with Gary Staddan t hird.
