This letter is pointed to one person 10 my life, who has undergone surgery on his left knee - my brother, Dean Modesett, I just want t o say, " I hope you get ba ck on yo ur feet soon and start showing them 'hot shots ' what y ou can do ! In th e wake of th e previous management's departure, the Speedway was left a "bare bon:s" facility, lacking most o f the essentials necessary for running an event. I'm talking about the gu y that ta ke s the family out on t he weekend, who's never been in a race and most Ii kely h as no reason to buy Cycl e News. Without Cycle News he h~ n o ~y of kn owing what th e BUt IS doin g or go in g to do to his desert. I'd say there are about 20 riders that go out with m y family off and on and o ut of the 20 there are on ly two AMA m embers. If i t were not for those guys I would h ave no reason t o b uy y o ur paper and i f I didn 't buy y o ur p ap er all the letters I've m ailed to th e BLM and so on would h ave never go t th er e.
