Services were held Monday in Ventura, California at 3:30 p .m. Although DeWay ne Keeter made h is mark in m o torcyclin g as a fierc e and successful com pe ti tor on the Ascot half mile, he also particip ated in speedway an d ro ad racing. Keeter traveled to Austral ia, England and Eu ro pe during his speedway career, but so on tired of the politics involved and returned to his first love, half mil e dirt track racing. Unlike other Ascot regulars, su ch as Romero, Aldana, and Hoc kin g, Keeter nev er traveled the full Gran d National circuit until las t y ear. But, a t Ascot he was always in conten tio n, pl acing in the top ten of th e season point totals year after year and winning th e overall point champi on shi p one season. Also, they said that n umerous other companies, including Bill Walters Leathers, the other MTA m em be r receiving Honda's warning, have for years been marketing T-shirts, halters and o ther wearing apparel bearing the name of virtually every motorcycle and auto m o hil in the industries. Two - oili er prominent vehi cle man ufacturers con tacted by MTA stated they are appreciative of th e p ublici ty and promotional value gained fr om wearing apparel whi ch carry their brand names. The Directors expressed deep con cern ab o ut th e possibility of a preceden being set which would have far reachin ad verse effects upon the motorcy cl a fterm ar ket industry, exten ding no only to wearing apparel . but also t many other products. all the technical and administrativ duties connected with the Salt Flats. A Federal judge in Washington, U.S. Dist rict Judge William B.
