Lame Camel, already famous for his winning of the Bengt
Pennon Parisian Plaster Award. has re cently added the
coveted "Howling at the Moon" trophy to his showcase
aboard his luxury yacht anchored in a remote swimming pool
somewhere south of Thermal. Camel has also been awarded
the " Griffith Park Backside Sliders Medallion " with two
"Pucker Clusters" for his inspiring performances aboard
numerous test bikes while negotiating the hazards of the
observatory parking lo t.
Lame Camel's peers in the cycling rea lm has not let his
immense ta lent go unnoticed or unrewarded. On April 16
last he was nominated for and subsequently won. by an
overwhelming majority, the coveted "Half Ass Award ... ·an
accolade few others can claim.
As for "Hunt 'N Peck. his conquests arc many and far
too numerous to na me here. "Suffice it to men ti o n his
most recen t award. Locked in fierce co m petition wi t h t he
very best writer/riders in t he co unt ry during a w ring-ernout-and-hang-ern-up-to-dry session at Indian Dunes, Peck
emerged from the fray the proud bearer of the "Second
to Last Place Winged Victory" trophy.
Proof Positive, that our writers are also riders!
