The AMA's 1975 Grand Nat ional series opener
January 31st and February 1st at the Houston
Astrodome provided an auspicious season start for
the new Norton Triumph American Racing Team.
In a field of 140 entrants, Team rider Mark Williams
combined a third in the TT Steeplechase with a
fourth in the Short Track event to grab First Place
in the AMA National Championship standings.
