In th e second a n d th ird motos, Ken n y Strand (Palm Springs, Hon ) threatened Cupp a few times, b ut Cupp m ade it to the ch ec ke re d n ag first . Brian Collier, o n a 100cc Yamah a . wa s the fir st rid er ov e r the top. His time , 15. 2 se conds , was good fo r first in class.
