By the middle of the second loop he had a solid one-minute lead over Mark Adent and that 's the way it stayed to the end. Adent, in tum, maintained at least 30 seconds over the third and fourth place riders. On the first lap of the second loop Dennis McEvoy was just abead of Bill Satlzman, but when Dennis went wide around a tum, Saltzman cut inside an d took the lead for the next two laps. Then McEvoy got back in front and was able to hold Saltzman off to take third. A similar race developed fo r fifth and sixth, but Bill Church, who came around on the first lap in fifth, didn't make the top 10 by the end, and Wes Anderson took that position followed by Howard McCasland in sixth. 1 hope to cover some of the desert hot shoes in the biggest, bike-only, desert money race ever: DRA's 20-Mule 200 on December 28th .
