Ron's I 25cc class win gave him eight points to the II already scored by Galindo on (a) a 50cc Ital-j et, (b) a water-cooled 350cc Yamaha, and (c) a 200cc Campbell Suzuki. Then on the sixth lap everything su dden ly tu rned topsy-t urvy as Pier ce 's rear chain snap ped. Evans also pi tted an d suddenly it was Geo rge Ro ch e o u t in fro nt o f Bob Endico tt, who had pic ked off a b u nch of riders after a slo w start.
