The adjustment mechanism is •engaged
by first removing the spring and the
rubber snubber, then. compressing the
shock fully and (once yo u can feel it
engage) ro tating the shaft clockwise to
increase the damping. Most Ko nis co me
set at the lightest damping and are set
progressively stiffer to compensate f or
wear.
To the best of ou r knowledge, they
are not rebuilda ble in the conventio nal
sense, though a few speed spec ialty
fir ms make aluminu m bodies fo r th em.
