What all t h ese seem ingly minute differences add up to is a tremendous con fid ence builder to an experienced but somewha t disc ouraged over-the-hill tri als rider. Miller ha ils from the rocky north country, they say , and it shows in the bike, for its strongest point must be its ability to skip lightly over tumbled, jumbled ro cks with absolute precision. The front end can be bounced ligh tly from ro ck to ro ck at will, and the re ar follows as if it we re o n a leas h. Ours was stock in th ese respe cts, and we wonder if these extra goodies will do much more than swell the rider 's ego , or wor se, make him over-caut ious to avo id doing something super-expensive , Our only co mplain t about the Sammy Miller T is we didn't get to ride it enough. We d on't re commend purchase of a $29 5 frame to everybody , who thin ks he ca n buy h imself a better ride , but if yo u 've fully plumbed th e capabilit ies o f your st ock Sherpa T to th e po int yo u thin k yo u're a better rid er th an it is a m otorcycle, th e Sammy Miller co nvers io n is th e next logic al ste p .
