J eff Fra ncis was th e o nly o t he r one loo per to zero the lo op , losin g 15 seconds. Jeff was in the und er 16 class. While th e first lo op was a li ttle lacking in checks, the second h ad five. Th r ee times t RC led th e riders down an easy trail and t he n off of a cliff in to a check. It re q uired a lot of skill, luck, an d work to zero th e loop. A lo t of ne at ridge running an d win d y washes with speeds just about right we re ru n fast enough to keep you humping to stay on . time b ut j ust short of hare an d h o und. After all was said and done B class r ider Raymond . Rieger (Pen) had unofficial ly won the ' Coc ks Crow enduro, los ing j ust 2 1 secon ds between two tieb reaker ch ecks. Righ t behind him was another B 250cc rider, J im Dut ches, who l ost 32 seconds. Interestingly enough, J im rode his daught er Elizabeth buddy up on th e first loop so th ey will ta ke the buddy up class also . The only rider to zero the enduro was Charl es Brown, an Open B ' class rider o n a 360 Ya maha . Charlie lost 4 2 seconds. Charlie sign ed up as a C class rider but Jerry ' McN eal instantly reclassified him up a notch stati ng th at no C class ride r should have zeroed the run. What happen d to t he A rid ers ? They got totally sk u nke d in the top t hree. T here was a lack of co mmunicati ons on t he course. A rider bro ke h is co llarbone and it too k t hree ho urs to get him • o n hi s way to the h ospital.
