With Gary Scott (H.D) expected to start Ontario despite an injurious crash
at the Talladega National, Ken ' Roberts might just go away and hide in
the Combined. He did it in spite of Scott's heat race lead at Laguna Seca
(shown here), but DuHamel and a host of others could alter history in the
Lightweight Junior/Expert Combined race.

Ontario's Heavyweight Production race will feature some of the real
"heavyweights" of MIA Production racing. Here (above) at Laguna Seca,
Steve McLaughlin (Kaw) leads Yvon DuHamel (Kaw 17) and Reg Pridmore
(BMW 63) through turn seven of the first Open Production lap. They'll all
be back together on the tarmac for Ontario, racing at 4:30 p,m. Saturday
October 5. Joining the bunch will be other fast dudes like Bob Endicott
(Kaw 110), Ron Pierce (BMW 97), Art Baumann (Kaw), Marty ' Lunde
(BMW), Dale Alexander (Kaw), Fred Walti (Kaw). and Ed Unini (Hon).
Pridmore (Below righ t), whose lines at Laguna were praised by DuHamel,
could very well win it .

as the National will use . Wit h
experience on the shortened course
and probably the fastest 350 in the
field, Clough is a good bet to win unless so meone else gets more motor
in a hurry. Then again, Tip McPartland
(Kaw) might be a spoiler.
