Charlie Hammill, riding out of D&R Cycle, also is starting to pick up qui te a few firsts only in the 100 class, especially with Ogilive, Roeseler, and Rutten out with various injuries. Doug Martin, now riding as an Expert, picked up a second Trail Ex pert, ah ead of Terry Raye on his one-of-a-kind 100 Monark, who dropped a position from last week's finish of second. Stu Goodell, riding a '70 Husky , showed the rest of the Open A mateurs that an antique Husky can still do the job by riding in lor first in this class. This is Goodell's first firs t and o ne of his first transfer rides. John Schvermann was first Novice last week, and was first thro ugh th e pits this weekend, but unloaded on the second loo p, da maging his back.
