brand-new mini-motocrosser: Honda
MR-50 . The bike sports a responsive
Agcc two-stroke engine coupled to a
three -speed transmission. In the
MR-50, safety is the first dictate of
design. Controls are easi ly operated - ,
for small hands, small feet. A four position throttle stop can be adjusted
by the parent to limit the maximum
power output of the engine. The
exhaust pipe and expansion chamber
are fully heat-shielded. Also s h ielded
is the drive chain.
The Honda spark arrestor/muffler
is built to be quiet. A satetviqnition
'cut off switch is at the rider's fingertips. Fenders are durable, flexible
plastic. The MR-50 even includes oval
number plates. Other featu res include
primary kick startin g, a shielded air
cleaner and knobby tires. Plus freevalve type telescopic front forks 'a nd
swing-arm rear suspension .
