the st art. He had to win both races, and
keep Mikkola ou t of the top three. And
without his tea m m ate Gerrit Wolsink,
he had little help.
Wolsink's in juri e s, suffered in
Belgium the previous week, are s ti ll
seri ous . Though X-rays sho wed he had
n o br oken bon es, he has in ternal
bleeding, after being struc k in the
sto mach b y his bars , and is under the
after-effects of maj or concus sion . Now
out of the haspi tal , he is co nvalesc ing at
home.

the strongest threat after last year 's

breaking his big toe when he caught it
on a tree-stump in practice.
