NOISE POLLUTION : The Oregon Department of Environmental Qual ity met on July 19 in Salem, Oregon and ad opted state ·w ide regu lations pertaining to noise pollution. Max imum noise levels for motorcycles were set at 86 db (A) for 1975 models; 83 db (A) for the 1976 model year; 80 dIJ (A) for 1977·78; and 75 db (A ) after 1978.
