It is simple to do it yourself by holding the wheel up to a grinder. The: amount of metal remo ved should be even all the way around. This step ",;11 pr ovide part of the room ne cessary for fitting the speedo drive mechanism . - Step five T he last step prior to insUnation on your bike is t o give the center of the drive mechanism an inside diameter which matches the outs ide diameter of the hex head sleeve, (m eas uring the -slee ve and not the nut), by grinding or filing. Try to ma ke it as sn ug a fit as possible, b ut the snugness isn 't rea l cri tical sin ce the fo rk recess wi ll hold it in p lace q uite well. Try to kee p the ho le as concentric as possible. Step four To obtain the r es t of the ro o m necessary for the d rive ' mechanism, gr ind or file at least 4 .0mm from the sid e o f th e left fork where the drive me ch anism will go . This will not o n ly recess th e mechanism into th e fork bu t also help sec u re it so the m ech anism ho using will no t t urn wi th th e wh eel. After the fork has be e n gro und do w n, shor ten the spacer which rides in the center of the hub sea l. S tar t with the end that has t he flange and grind th e space r d own until it is o n ly 8 .0 m m long Ste p six . Now install the drive m ech an ism w hile re- assemblyin g the bike. Remember to be nd the two lo ng metal arms r rom the mechanism over in to the sp o kes since this is wh at drives th e unit. Xo w go out and win an enduro! 37
