Ed. because as usu al he di d no t finish? I d o not care to co m ment on the a rticle wri tten by Sch neide rs becau se it is only the opin ion of a "bel ow average" B rider who appare ntly has no ide a of what a National Cha mpions hip or District 37 Enduro should be like. I do, however take exception with the paragraph in "The Latest Poop" whi ch indicated th at th e nu mber drawing was dishonest . I personally ac cepted and processed every en try and th en c o n d uc te d th e drawing. Throughout the drawing I repeatedly asked the assembled crowd if any body wanted to mix the drawing slips or even draw them . It seems to me that Paul Flanders, Schneider 's riding partner, even drew a c o up le of numbers. Does this make him dishon est also ? I can only say that if Schneiders has proof of th e trash he is trying to shove down your re aders' throats, let him step forw ar d and fir e his b est shot in person. TERRY BLUMENTHAL Referee Pasadena M.C. Club Pasadena, Calif. Greenhorn Ron Schne ide rs , for on ce I agree w ith you. But why were you so n ice to the Pasadena Mo to rcycle Cl ub ? After arriving a t the cam p are a on Saturday, 25th o f May at approximately 12:00 noon, we learned the Greenhorn Enduro was to cro ss a portion of the Hare & Hound co u rse, so we de cided to ride o ut and wat ch the riders co m e through . \Ve w ere waiting for th e first ride rs wh en a truck came up . SEAN GIBSON Pasadena MC writes back I believe it is safe to say that Ron Schneiders was n o t overly pleased with the 1974 Gre en ho rn . Could it be Ron do es not write "The Latest Po op . I supported a Sen ate amendment to exempt motorcycles from no-fault insurance and to permit States to i n e r e as e motor cy cle insurance de ductibles, If the Se nate had not taken such action , motorcyclists wo uld have been faced wit h dra matic increases in insurance rates. and forced eithe r to abandon their motorcycles or o perate th em iIlegaIly.
