Randy Davis (Hon) won all three with a good push in eac h race from Mike Tomasini on a Suzuki . Next cam e the co mbine d 100 Juni or - 125 Interm edi at e race. Jack Hargrave (Yam) earned the 100 Jr. win. Kim Widmer only made one mistake in the 125 Int. While leading in th e second moto Kim eame off in the roller coaster. Rick Herbst inherited the lead until he came off at the same spot. Tim Fellows won the round . Kim won the final race to put h im at the top of the b unch of Honda r iders. Everything we n t to you -know-whe re in the handbasket when the 125 Expert came up . The first ra ce was fairly cal m . Butch Waymire (Suz) built u p an enormous lead and Bill Blo ck (Hon) had a firm grip o n second un til he came down hard on hi s bars. After trying to cop e with the m at knee level for a few laps he had to s top to pull th em up . Ric Burkinshaw (Hon) moved up to finish second . The second moto was a survival battle beyond belief. Three turns into the race Paul Weber. Waymire andJohn Brown (H on ) tangled over a small j ump . With a little help Weber and Brown extracted their bikes an d went on b ut Butch was left wi th a broken leg. Several laps later Weber crashed again and he was carried off with torn li gamen t s in his leg. Meanwhile Burkinshaw was fighting off Blo ck 's per sistant drive for th e lead. He got going again without losing a position but had little heart in it until he saw Block with a thrown chain at th e tower corn er. Bill go t the chain on but his bike lo aded up and Ric wen t by. Brown was still riding, but apparently his bike suffered in the crash because he had to co ax it to finish. Blo ck finally got a win in the final race but Burkinshaw took top money . Min i winners were R uss Maw (Int) and Mike Howard O r) o n Hondas. Gary Mack (Hon) was last going in t he second race and worked up to head for the final corner right beside R uss in th e lea d .
