Before th e ha lf-way point Castillo
had worked up to d o battle wit h
Collins, the Pen t on rid er . J erry passed
Bob on the straight and t oo k the w in
wi t h 15 sec o nd s to spare. Collins
finished second and for rest Galt (Ho n)
came in th ird.
Castillo was the favored winner in
th e second mo to b ut he m issed the start
of the moto. Mea nwhile Co llin s again
p ul led the start and was out front,
fo llowed by Galt. After m an y lap s of
swa pping th e lea d back and forth Galt
finally got by and was first to t he finis h.
Castillo worked his way up into third
and started racing with Co llins for
seco nd. Jerry fina lly got b y an d settled
fo r second Overall. Collins took a well
earned th ird Overall , with Galt firs t
Overall.
