I have always looked a t the Harley team as the ultimate in race teams, however my views chan ged when I see the team who actually showed up and contributed so much with more at stak e than anyone. A plug Jim S tewart's article in Cycle News April 9 credited the March 31 D-37 Hare Scrambles to the One Hundreds MC. The One Hundreds cancelled out. The date was p icked up by a few members o f th e LAPD Badgers MC, wh o spent severa l weekends sharing the windy de sert with turtles, sheep, and green rattlesnakes while they laid o u t , !"arked, and limed some virgin territory, in clud in g a death defying downhill for the second ann ual Badgers Cop <:lut. There are two DNFs : Desert Knight's MX Hare Scrambles (6-6-71) and the Dirt Digger 's European S crambles (8- 15 - 71 ). Remarkable to say the leas t. Whose Was it? How d id it get to Ph oenix ?
