In fact . he was t ied o n points with Pavel Rulev but th e R ussian was j ud ged to have the fas ter time so that put two Ru ssians and two KTM s in the top three. T he re was a tre mendous a mo un t o f . press ure on J im Pomeroy to do well an d . he d id, end ing up seven t h ov erall bu t he didn't win, as he had last year . T h is d isappointed n o one m ore than J im him self , wh o felt he could have done better. He could h ave. T he Bultaeo clutch was slip pi ng a lo t in t he first m o to af te r th ey held t he star t ga te for way too long and he got a .poor sta r t in the secon d ro und. Bu t if he con tin ues t o ride the res t of the season as he d id a t the Spanis h 250 Grand Prix, Jim Pom eroy will have n o thi ng to worry abo u t.
