Sure Cures for Pit Racers By La rry Langley You know the scene. Y ou're sitting in your camp sipping a nice, co ld one after a long, hot ride and just plain relaxing when all of a sudden all hell breaks loose. It sounds like a Hare and Hound justwent right through you r camp . Pick ing yoursel f up , you ask your faithful companion, "What happened ?" . "It's that damn kid on his unmuffled Yamahonak i again. It's the third time today he's come blasti ng through camp." "Well ," you ponder, " if he comes t hrough again, I'll fix his lit t le old wago n." Deviou s th oughts about variou s torture methods stare runni ng t hr ough you r mind . It's t im e to put the old imagination to work stopping that malady called " Pit Racing," the Comp et ition Campsite Number One Enemy . We've noted a few of th e more positive ways to curb a pit racer in the accompanying photos.
