Ncar the end of the la p , Goodrich was again at Mueller's ba ckdoor wh en the little Hon da contracted those old oiled plug blues and again let Mueller slip ou t of reach , th is time for good. It also let Serrano an d Paul Red man (Han) (who had been m eth od ically pi cking up territory every lap ) get by for a mota finish of second an d third . Even so, Goodrich garnered a second for the day, Mueller ended up first , Serrano third. T od ay 's 2 50 Exp ert go's main p rotagonists were Strasser. Sam Redman (Ha n) an d Bill Armstrong (Yam) . Just after the rubber. band snap. Strasser pu lled ahead with Redma n in h o t pursuit. For tw o laps they played " wa nna trad e b ikes?", with Strasser finally getting ahead in the last lap, A tone point in their game. the two rid ers traded sides of the track w hile both defied gravity several feet off the ground. Disaster struck Strasser - he fo un d the same hole Armstrong had laps earlier. allowing Redman to win both the m o ta and overall. Strasser was the day's second and Ti m Kelly (Yam) nailed dow n thi rd . For a first effort, today's races were not ba d .
