TOXIC GARBAGE TO REPLACE BIKE RS. The California State Mines Agency is cons idering five dry lakes in San Berna rdino County as sites for disposal of toxic and dangerous wastes. A division report stated that the best waste disposal sites would be five dry lakes: Galway Dry Lake, Melville Dry Lake, Means Dry Lake, Soggy Dry Lake and Harper Dry Lake , which is north of Barstow. The dry lakes wo uld be used to dump dangerous wastes such as poisons, pesticides, oil and grease , and heavy metals.
