Drew took the lead in the first heat from Randy Gibbs with a del icately close inside pass going into the south tu m after several previous att em p ts. He said, "I hated to do it that way, but t wanted that pole position in the main ," Delacy took the lead in the second hea t early from Ed So uza placing him second to Drew on the pole position in the front row start of the final. After the first tum in the fi nal. Delacy led Drew folJowed by Dana Perri. Before mid way , Greg Ferguson mo ved into th ird and then fell wh ile negotiating t he south t urn into t he front straight. That slo wed the traffic eno ugh to give Delacy an d Dr ew a q uarter lap lead over thi rd place Dan a Perri. For the past two mon ths, more than hal f o f th e track has been inu nda ted due to seasonal rainstorms and several past races have had to be cancelled. Bu t it lo o ks like everything is back to normal and Argy ll is o ff t o another fu ll racing season. promisin g a lot of to p action every weekend. Today saw a rathe r small turnout o f riders and spectators, but t hose who ca me, rode and rode an d ro de an d rode. T he biggest and only com plaint of th e day was that there was jus t too muc h riding. Experts and Amateurs both rode three 20 -minute motos , wh ile Novices and Minibikes ro de three Ifl- mi n ute m o t os. In the m inibike 'b ash ' , Pat Yoho wrapped it up for the Novices, while Jerry Brown and Mark Va ughan won the laurels in the resp ec tive Amateur and Expert classes. The 100 Nov ice class w a s clearly domi nated b y Ro ger Elberger with a close second fro m Kevin Lode man . 125 Novice honors went to Mark Hinston and J .
