AMEMX Into the second corner, the 250 Seniors head up the hill in AME Expert MX at Muntz. By Jack Collin MOORP.... RK. CAL.• OCT. 28 Greg Robertson raced under AME colors at Muntz Cycle Park Sunday, the first time in a year and a half, entering his American ]awa-spon50red CZ's in the 250 and 125 Senior events. The 250 class matched Greg against a strong field of 15, including Tracy Oswell (Hon). Pete Maly (CZ) and John Atwood (BuI). but the forks of his larger machine stopped taking the load about the fourth lap of the first moto. and the mishap scratched Greg from the remaining 250 events. Tracy Oswell seemed disappoin ted in Robertson's misfortune only because it robbed him of a hot race. Oswell wen t on to tum in the day's fastest lap (01 :11) and eventually capture overall victory with the first place fmishes and a fourth. Maly and Atwood rounded out overall standings. Robertson fared much better in the 125 Senior events, winning the three motos in convincing style. Jim Hale kept after him through the first two events but his Penton slowed in the third. and Robertson swept through unmolested. Hale and Gary Huber (Pen) finished second and third overall. The 125 intermediates raced with the Seniors of that displacement and we mention Nick Hale' (Hon) for pulling a grand slam win through a very busy track. in just about the same breath. you gOlla hear about the grand slam Rick Miracle Turned in the 250 Junior class. Rick's CZ slid out from under him. early in the first moto. but he still won it going away.
