A sigh of relief goes up from the Minibike section. In the 100 class Tim Finley (Yam) had control of the day. Winner of the trophy dash and going on to win the A • Main. Second place going to Steve Copley and third to Sue Ku tz. Brad Hurst (Hon) has come on strong all season in the 125 class. Improvement from last year is fantastic. Brad won the trophy dash and went on to win the A Main. Chet Campbell (Pen) took second, and Jeff Campbell took third. First time on this track for Jeff. We understand Jeff ~on top places this year at Medford and Gran ts Pass. In the 200 class Gary McDowell won the trophy dash and the A Main. Second went to Allan Busby. Third was John Ayres. Lester Huey (Suz) won the trophy dash in the 250 class. Here is another rider to' watch for in the future. At 13-years-old, he is giving the big guys something to think about. 250 class A Main action saw Rick Oliver (Bul) from Corvallis, tum it on strong to take first. Allan Busby took second and third went to Lester Huey. Delbert Spinney won the Open class. Steve Toftdahl close behind took second. Mike Bailey claimed third. Bailey also won the trophy dash. Territorial will now get ready for the motocross season at Franklin on Territorial Road. This is just out of Eugene. First race will' be October 21, 1973. .' . Ted Davidson rode a new Kawasaki to the 250 Expert win over Dennis Huff's twin Yamaha and that was quite a sight. The Kawasaki was just put together by the father of the District's No. 1 rider, and ran very well despite some bugs in handling. The Yarnaha is the one that carried both Scott Brelsford and John Gennai to their Ascot heroship. While not quite the same. far Huff, be made his Junior points and sold the bike for what it cost.
