Sylvain Geboers, who seems to have cured his fork/shock problems, was leading teammate DeCoster in a race long duel for fourth place, while Heikki Mikkola, Mike Hartwig and CCM rider Bob Wright motored further back. Jim Weinert was putting on a spirited charge, moving from well back in the pack to twelfth at the fmish, while Brad Lackey, the victim of mechanical .Sylvain Geboers (Suz) was second•
