PASSED {ad ADOPTED this 18th day of September, 1973. Byron E. Cook Mayor of the City of Burbank Listen Here, Wealey Papa Wealey's columD, "The Latest Poop", is excellent in being informative and interesting. He more times than not gets all the facts and tells it like it is. But low and behold, in your Sept. 25 issue, Papa Wealey's brain red-lined. He pointed out that when Jim Manning asked members of The Humpers M.C. (an outlaw club) to join M.O.R.E., they did. Yet when Jim went to the Prospectors M.C., Papa Wealey reported that no one joined, period. Hey Papa, didn't you stop to think that they all probably already belong? What the hell do you expect them to do, join again? TOM MARSHALL 817x Torrance, Calif. We just printed what Jim Manning told John enrich at the Burbank City Council meeting September 1L We're beginning to doubt M.O.R.E, 's credibility... Ed. M.O.R.E. More WHY CAN'T YOU TYPES HAVE A FAVORITE TEOOYBEAR OR BLANKET LIKE EVERYONE ELSE? We read your column about the- five guys fired from the AMA for liking motorcycles. My husband and 1 saw Jim Manning of M.O.R.E. talk to the Burbank City Council about the helmet law. We are glad he is with M.O.R.E. in California and not back in Ohio. The AMA guy wasn't there, probably at soine race somewhere. It looks to us as though we need M.O.R.E. m.ore than the AMA when it cOJDes to helping us at the local level. MRS.K.R.CLAUNELL Los Angeles, Calif. Don Clausen represented the AMA at the meeting. Jim Manning is Vice President of M.O.R.E. and holds down a full time job as welLEd. We Apologize: The Sacramento Jammers M.C. wish to extend our sincere apologies for the cancelation of our Hare Scramble at Carson City, Nevada on September 16, We were notified 9-8-73 that the Fire Marshall in Carson City considered our race to be too high of a rue risk at the present time so therefore we were asked to cancel our .event. We hope our cancelation notices reached all our an ticipated riders in adequate time. JAN M.JOHNSON Vice President Sacramento Jammers M.C.
