.... Novice of the day finishing six th and Imt Open Novice. Wood Schamel pulled in seventh and first Amateur. When handed his bottle of champagne for his first, Woody just came unglued. Rounding out the top ten were John Sands on a 500 Yamaha, Bob Riley (Hus) and Paul Greenwood aboard a 400 Husky. Tom Ritter had a good ride today and took 17th 'overall and first 250 Novice. Ritter just bar~ly got that last as Wayne Morgan had been right behind him all day. Third 250 Novice and last over 35 went to John Klug who incidently finished right behind Ritter and Morgan. Fifteen year old Doug Briges took the 125 Expert class on a Puch. Doug lead the 125 class all the way. Following Doug and finishing four place later was first 125 Novice, Gary Martin. Glenn Finley bad quite a time of it and managed to pull off 175 bonors. Sometimes it pays to get out of bed after all. When the first red plate appeared at the finish, it was Tom Wilhoyte (360 Yam) lor the overall. Tom now moves up and joins the Novice ranks. 250 'Beginner winner was J obn Steen (Hon). David Taylor put in a good day's work and took the 10.0 Beginner class, pulling in 11th. Chris Johnson was first 125 Beginner on a Monark and Gary Hicken took tbe 175 class on a Suzuki.
