DELTA, OH., July 22 - The invasion of
the little to"YIl of Delta by a cast of
some twenty thousand Americans and
three Europeans for the fourth event in
the five race Inter-AMA series won't be
forgotten for a while, at least not until
next year. JarosIav Falta (CZ), Heikki
Mikkola (Hus), and Antonin
Baborovsky (CZ) were the three
Europeans and they fairly well
dominated the two forty minute motos
on the long and demanding Delta
Mike Hartwig turned in a
re~t
Motorsport Park track. Finishing .that
order, they heat back challenges by the
American riders to capture the top three
places in the 250 International class.
In the 500 Support class Husqvarna's
Mike Hartwig had a no contest race as
he won all three of the twenty minute
motos in that class with ease. Bob Harris
(Mai) and Doug Grant (Bul) fmished
second and third overall behind Hartwig·
in a class that was overshadowed by the
excitement in the 250.
