When you don't have a phenomenal budget for
a single event you have to rely on the man and
the machine. We have the men and they know
they had a machine they could rely on.

Result: 1st bike in and 3rd overall in the time of
19 hrs. and 19 min. But that's only 2 hrs. 34 min.
behind Parnelli Jones in the 1st car. That's not
the real story though, because out of five Husky's
we entered, four finished in the top ten.

And this isn't the first time ... we won the 1000
in '68, '69, '71 and now '72. With these results we
don't have to tell you about reliability, or toughness ... you can ask yourself and come up with
the answer.
