395 TT and Half-Mile _ by Imogene Rees ADELANTO, CAL., Nov. 12-, 1972 How much talent can you get on one track? I don't know, but 395 sure had their share Sunday. All the top riders .from H.R.A.'s '71 point sheet showed to put on a real show. In the 100 Novice, Tim McWhorter (Kaw), a long time absentee, gave the local boys a figb t by running off with first place. Chris Morland (Kaw) took second. In the Half-mile it was Brian Haycock (Kaw) all the way. The rest of the pack was tight but Brian made his position clear from the start. Second went to Tim McWhorter (Kaw). Jeff Clark is staking a claim on wbo's going to rule the 2~0 class by taking first in both the IT and the Half-mile with no strain and a most impressive riding style. The Open .Novice saw another long time-no see rider Jeff Zwaster (Tri) grab the lead in the IT. Cary Kauffeld (Yam), on recent week's winnings, had other plans in store for him and aced him ou t to gqlb first. In the Half-mile Jeff got first off tbe line and beld it this time all the way to the end. Cary Kauffeld had to settle for second. The Experts were ou t in full force today as Vince Mead (Kaw) on a I25cc took an early lead all the way home. The real race was for second with Earl Roloff (Yam), Rip Sweaney (I- U Going in a hurry. then gone. ~NZEN_----------" Next race: Sun., Nov. 19th.
